Plasback provides a long term, low cost solution for farmers and councils for the disposal of plastic waste. When in need of a website to be delivered within both time and budget, SP Connected were the right fit.
Industry estimates are that between 8,000 to 10,000 tonnes of fodder conservation plastics go onto farms in Australia every year. This includes silage wrap, bale net, baling twine, silage covers and grain storage tubes.
After use, fodder conservation plastics result in a waste stream that is unsightly, expensive to collect, costly to dispose of and of little commercial value.
The Plasback farm plastics recycling program has been set up by Tapex to create a market for this plastic waste stream. Initially this program will focus on silage wrap, silage covers and grain tubes. The Plasback program involves the collection of a clean segregated waste stream, which is then recycled into a range of lumber replacement products under the Tuffboard brand, adding value to the waste and funding it’s collection.
SP Connected were chosen to redevelop the entire website & design, introduce a content management system, spearhead search engine traffic and manage analytics.
